Our family events are open to everyone interested in Finland and the Finnish culture. They provide hands-on opportunities to experience Finnish music, theater, literature, poetry, short films and movies, art and crafts, Finnish holiday traditions, and traditional food and treats.

Annual Christmas Celebration

Our annual Christmas Fundraiser provides an authentic experience of Finnish Christmas with traditional food and treats, heart warming performances by Suomi-Koulu children and other entertainment. Annual Suomi-Koulu Christmas traditions include a sing-along of Finnish Christmas songs, Joulupukki’s visit from Korvatunturi, and a silent auction.

Joulupukki = Santa Claus

Korvatunturi = The name of a fell in Lapland where, according to the legend, Santa’s Village and Workshops are located
