Our online Finnish classes cater to beginner and intermediate adult learners, fostering skill development in a small-class setting. Classes are conducted in both Finnish and English, and our experienced instructors Kata Hyvärinen (Saturdays) and Kati Vaarasuo (Wednesdays) provide personalized guidance to help you progress. Saturday classes are held on selected Saturdays, approximately every other week, starting September 6th, 2025:
Fall semester: 9/6, 9/20, 10/4, 10/11, 11/1, 11/15, 11/22
Spring semester: 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9

New Beginners, Level 1: 1:45 PM - 3:15 PM
Advanced Beginners, Level 2: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Intermediate, Level 3: 12 PM - 1:30 PM

Wednesday Classes run from 6:00–7:00 PM,
October 22 to December 10 (7 sessions, no class on November 26).
This adults online Finnish course leads you to basic understanding of the Finnish language. We will learn how to greet, how to tell and ask basic things. We will learn vocabulary, phrases and common everyday language.

Online Option for Children
We are exploring the possibility of offering engaging online classes for the 2025-26 school year, depending on interest. These classes would be designed for children aged 7-12 and teens aged 13 and up, connecting young learners with Finnish language and culture from the comfort of home.
If you are interested in this online option, please let us know - we will consider offering the group if enough families sign up.
