Welcome to Suomi-koulu in Santa Monica!

Our muskari, or Parent-Child Music Class, offers a musical experience for children aged 0-2 and their parents. For ages three and above, our Finnish language classes immerse children in language through play and cultural activities. The instruction is in Finnish, yet children without sufficient language skills can join if accompanied by a Finnish-speaking parent.

Muskarimme (vanhempi-lapsi -musiikkihetki) tarjoaa mukavan hetken 0-2 -vuotiaille lapsille ja heidän vanhemmilleen. Lapsille kolmesta vuodesta ylöspäin tarjoamme suomen kielen tunteja leikkien ja innostavien kielen ja kulttuurin harjoitusten avulla. Opetus tapahtuu suomen kielellä, joten mikäli lapsen suomen kielen taito on heikko, hän voi osallistua suomea puhuvan vanhemman kanssa.

Fall 2025 – Santa Monica Classes Update
We’re sorry, but due to low enrollment, we won’t be able to offer our regular programs in Santa Monica this fall.
We’d still love to see you! Families are welcome to join our partially volunteer-led sessions on Saturdays (see schedule below) from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. It’s a great chance to enjoy Finnish language and culture together.
Cost: $80 per family (this fall only).

Schedule for the Classes in Santa Monica:

Classes are held on selected Saturdays, approximately every other week, starting September 6, 2025.

Spring semester: 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9
